These frozen shredded collard greens is perfect to use for Caldo Verde soup. Collard greens are divided into two separate bags. This frozen preparation is great to have at home in the freezer until needed.

Caldo Verde is a Portuguese soup made with potatoes, shredded collard greens, sliced chouriço (smoked Portuguese sausage) and olive oil. It originated in northern Portugal, but nowadays it is a national favourite. This soup is great served as an appetizer or as a light course for a late supper, usually served with corn bread.
